For those of you who like disassembled supercars, Petrolicious has a post about an F40 restoration/ conversion to LM spec. Not much in words but a bunch of good photos. Sounds like they will have some follow ups to this project as well.

I know the F40 is a great car, but I take a XJ220 S TWR over a F40LM any day. http://blog.supercars.net/blog/1994-jagu…

I think this is the same car but wayyyyyy more details and wayyyy more photos.
Sit back with a cup of cocoa and spend a few hours going through all the posts and photos.

Ooooh, that may be the greatest build thread I have ever seen. There is so much detail in every process. I think that is a different car though, for the following reasons.

1. The build thread indicated that was a restoration of an original LM and the one on Petrolicious is a conversion.

2. The owner of the build thread one is still active on the Ferrari Chat forums ( I was bored so I started digging) and the car is still at Mototechnique being finished 100%, so I think that car is the LM in some of the background shots of the Petrolicious story.

Either way the more the merrier.

I’m going to be that guy and say

EVERYONE NEEDS TO TELL THEIR CAR FRENDS AND FAMILY ABOUT PETROLICIOUS.

I don’t mean to take a poke at them or anything but they have low views considering their videos are going to be automotive history forever.

I’d frankly buy their shows in HQ on dvd and support this cause. I think people need to no bs look at this seriously. It’s inspirational.

A lot of people don’t realize they make more than just videos. They actually have quite a few good articles regularly. But for every good article there is a completely pointless one and some of their posts are just a bunch of close ups and random detail shots without ever showing the full car which I find incredibly frustrating. It’s also a pain in the ass to save photos from their site. Their videos are fantastic but they need to step up their website to match.
